Description

This experience will bring you closer to the ancient practice of essential oil production, showing you the entire process from the harvesting and cultivation of aromatic essences to their processing and distillation to extract the precious oils.

Your journey into the world of essential oils begins along the path leading to the farm and into the surrounding woods, where you can observe a rich variety of plants and wild herbs and learn the principles behind the recognition and cataloguing of medicinal plants.

The route continues through cultivated fields, where different species of flowers and herbs are monitored step by step during their growth, according to specific quality dictates. A pleasant walk, where sight and smell play a primary role: in fact, you can delight in recognising the different species through their scent, a characteristic linked to the presence of essential oils that constitute a natural defence for the plant against parasitic aggression.

You will then move to the laboratory, the heart of essential oil production, where you will be enveloped in intense aromas and penetrating fragrances. Here you will delve into the most delicate phase of the harvesting process, the meticulous steam distillation process, which aims to capture the quintessence produced by the plant without altering or compromising its quality.

From the fields to the distillery, a look at the world of medicinal plants, governed by rules and delicate balances, to become aware of what nature offers us and the extraordinary potential of essential oils.
