Description
An itinerary on foot through history to discover Lugana, an area linked to wine and important historical events: on this tour, Patrizia will take you on a journey to learn about the morainic hills and the historical significance of these places, through the tasting of its wines.
A slow tourism experience, balanced between culture and oenology: from production to terroir, from method to tasting. The approximately 10 km route proposed by our local wine guide starts from the Red Cross Memorial in Solferino and makes a first stop at Madonna della Scoperta, a hamlet immersed in the countryside, among vineyards, old farmhouses and the church that dominates the area from its privileged position.
The route resumes in country lanes leading you to a family-run wine cellar in the hills of Pozzolengo from where you will enjoy a spectacular view of the Tower of San Martino della Battaglia. Here you will be offered a tasting of three Lugana DOC wines and thus learn about the lesser-known versions of this much-appreciated white wine.
A day dedicated to exploring the resources of the area and the human talents that have shaped its history. Return to the meeting point is by organised transfer.
