Description

Looking for tips for a memorable Lake Garda wine tasting?

You can book a wine-tasting tour in Valeggio sul Mincio, where an ancient farm devoted to the ancient art of wine production is located. A unique experience that will lead you to discover the traditions, history and landscape of the Benaco and neighbouring areas.

In this wine tasting activity you will experience a full immersion in the world of wine. You will learn about winemaking processes and understand how to properly taste quality wines from the early inland area of Lake Garda, in the cosy region of the moraine hills. The tasting will feature white and red wines from Lake Garda. In particular, you will taste three glasses of Custoza Superiore, Bardolino and Rosso Verona IGT wines - produced by the same winery - and a fourth glass of Metodo Classico to explore this further winemaking technique. A true tour of flavours followed closely by an expert oenologist.

All the chosen labels will be accompanied by platters of cold cuts, local cheeses and other typical products from the Valeggio sul Mincio area.

The experience includes a guided tour of the family vineyards, the wine-making and bottling cellar, and the fascinating old barrel cellar from the 18th century, which still retains its dense barrel aromas and where you can admire the hanging sausages (just like in the old days!).

The wine tasting will be held in a beautiful location. In summer, or with the right temperatures, it will be possible to go outside and sit in the magical shaded courtyard. In winter (or in case of rain), the activity will take place in the farm's indoor tasting room.

An experience suitable for everyone and all ages, enhanced by the fact that the winery owners will personally accompany you throughout the guided tour and gastronomic tastings.

How does the Lake Garda wine tasting activity with a visit to a wine cellar in Valeggio sul Mincio take place?

  • Can the wines offered during the Lake Garda wine tasting change?

The tasting includes the wines described in our offer. The choice of labels, however, depends very much on the annual production: the owners of the cellar will assess the best references of the vintage to offer you.

  • Where exactly will the wine-tasting experience take place, outdoors or inside the farmhouse cellars?

The wine-tasting experience in the winery will take place outdoors in fine weather or indoors, in a dedicated room, in winter and during rain and bad weather. Both locations are splendid.

  • What local dishes and specialities will be served on the tasting menu during the Lake Garda Wine Tasting Experience?

The wines will be paired with platters of cured meats, cheeses and other local and seasonal products. You can communicate your allergies, intolerances or other dietary preferences (such as vegan or vegetarian diets) via the special messaging service, available immediately after booking. This way we can create a personalised chopping board according to your needs.

  • Is it possible to have lunch after the wine-tasting activity?

The wine-tasting and cellar tour in this beautiful agriturismo does not include lunch.

  • Will transport services be provided to reach the winery or do you have to organise your own transport?

We do not provide a transport service to reach the location. The farm with winery can be easily reached on your own, using your own means of transport, hire or taxi.
