Nature walk to discover herbs in Garda Trentino

A guided nature walk to discover the varied landscape of Garda Trentino, an extraordinary combination of Mediterranean climate and mountain environment. The walk starts from a farm immersed in the regenerating tranquillity of the countryside just a few minutes from the centre of Arco: the owner will show you the manor house, recently renovated respecting the authentic style of late 19th century rural buildings.

Its hillside location ensures a pleasant cool climate on summer days, while its large terrace offers a wide view of the northern coast of Lake Garda.

You will enter the luxuriant nature surrounding the property: a frame of Mediterranean vegetation where the landscape alternates between rocky cliffs, tidy terraces of vineyards and olive trees, pine and oak forests, and superb castles overlooking Lakes Ledro and Garda.

As you stroll through the terraces, you will discover how the characteristic climate of this area is particularly favourable to the cultivation of olive trees: the alternating breezes, the Pelér in the morning from the north and the Ora in the afternoon from the south, regulate the temperature and salubriousness of the air.

Your guide will help you recognise the different varieties of aromatic herbs and medicinal plants that you will encounter along the way: a mix of colours and scents, whose countless properties and uses feed the tradition and culture of the area. At the end of the walk, you will be presented with an aromatised salt in memory of this experience.
